Grows slowly and compact. Needs medium to high light and iron to stay red; CO2 helps a lot.

The Plant
Super Red Mini is one of the smallest Ludwigia, with tiny, round leaves on short stems. Once it is fully underwater with enough light, both the stems and the leaves turn bright red. It can grow above or below the waterline.

Plant Care
Type: Stem plant · Origin: Southeast Asia · Height: 8–10 inches · Light: Moderate to high · CO2: Not required · Temp: 72–82°F · pH: 6.5–7.6

Planting Tips
Its small size makes it a good midground plant, even in a tank as small as 10 gallons. Take cuttings from the main stem and replant them to spread it.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The compact size fits nano shrimp tanks where bigger stems would take over. Dense little leaves give shrimplets cover and biofilm to graze, and the red pops behind blue or yellow shrimp.
