Size
Slow and easy: low to medium light and no CO2. Attach to wood or rock and keep the rhizome above the substrate.

The Plant
Bucephalandra Theia is a small, slow rhizome plant from Borneo. Its long green leaves have rippled edges, and it stays compact, topping out near 2 inches, so it fits nano tanks and the front of larger scapes. Choose a loose stem or a potted plant.

Plant Care
Type: Rhizome · Origin: Borneo, Indonesia · Growth: Slow · Height: Up to 2 in · Light: Low to moderate · CO2: Not required · Temp: 75 to 82°F · pH: 6.8 to 7.8

Planting Tips
If it comes potted, take it out of the pot first. Tie or glue the rhizome to wood or stone and keep it out of the substrate. It works in the foreground or midground of a tank of 10 gallons or more. For more plants, cut the rhizome into pieces and attach each one in a new spot.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The textured leaves hold biofilm that baby shrimp pick at all day, and the tight clumps give shrimplets cover. Like any live plant, it also takes up nitrate between water changes.
