Water Lettuce Rosette

The Plant
Water lettuce is a floating plant that sits on the surface as a single rosette, with its roots trailing down into the water. You get one rosette, usually about 2.5 to 4 inches across. It is very easy and suits any aquarium or pond.

Planting Tips
Simply float it in a tank of 5 gallons or more; nothing goes into the substrate. Keep it out of strong current. Check your state’s rules before buying, and never release it outdoors.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Floating plants are among the quickest at soaking up nitrate. Shrimp love to climb and graze along the hanging roots, and the shade from the leaves helps shy shrimp feel safe out in the open.
