About
A calm, green-gray stone with soft layers running through it, named for how it resembles jade seen through clear spring water. Shades range from moss green and olive to gray, brown or blue-green. The surface rolls in gentle ridges rather than sharp points, closer to slate than to lava or dragon stone.
Specs
Colors: green, olive, gray, brown, blue-green · Texture: smooth, gently ridged, low porosity · Water: inert, no change to pH, GH or KH · Safe with: sensitive fish, shrimp and plants · Suits soft and neutral water
Using It
Rinse off any dust first. It fits Iwagumi and Zen-inspired scapes and works well for slopes, terraces or a single focal stone. Anubias, java fern, bolbitis, bucephalandra and moss can all be tied on. Stacked pieces leave gaps where shrimp and small fish can hide.
