Slow and easy in low to medium light, no CO2 needed. Plant in substrate and give it time.

The Plant
Schismatoglottis prietoi looks a lot like an anubias, with oval leaves 3 to 8 cm long, but it grows faster. In the wild it grows in big, dense groups in rivers in the Philippines. It is easy and handles most tanks, even very dim ones.

Comes as a Tropica tissue culture cup: grown in lab gel, so it arrives free of snails, algae, pests and pesticides. Rinse off the gel and split it into small portions to plant.

Plant Care
Type: Runner plant
Origin: Asia
Growth rate: Medium
Height: 3 to 5+ cm (after about two months)
Light: Medium (0.5 W/L)
CO2: Medium (6 to 14 mg/L)

Planting Tips
Plant it low in the foreground. It puts out runners readily, so a few plants will slowly spread into a group.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The leaves collect biofilm for shrimp to pick at, and shrimp shelter around the base of the low clumps.
