Easy in low light, but very slow. Tie it down tightly and keep algae off it while it fills in.

The Plant
Riccardia chamedryfolia is a slow liverwort from Tropica's 1-2-Grow! range. Its fine, rich green fronds branch like coral and grow into tight, compact clusters that rarely need trimming. Use it on rocks or driftwood, or as a low carpet.

Comes as a Tropica tissue culture cup: grown in lab gel, so it arrives free of snails, algae, pests and pesticides. Rinse off the gel and split it into small portions to plant.

Plant Care
Type: Moss (a liverwort)
Origin: Asia
Growth rate: Slow
Height: 3 to 5+ cm (after about two months)
Light: Medium (0.5 W/L)
CO2: Medium (6 to 14 mg/L)

Planting Tips
Tie or glue small pieces to rock or wood, or spread it as a carpet. It copes with many kinds of water and needs very little upkeep.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Biofilm and fine food settle into the dense fronds for shrimp to graze, and baby shrimp hide deep inside the clusters.
