The Plant
Mint Charlie is a true aquatic stem plant that grows in tanks and ponds alike. Underwater it forms small, round, bright green leaves along each stem. It is very easy to keep and handles many kinds of water.

Planting Tips
Plant the stems in the background of a tank 15 gallons or larger. To get more, cut a stem and replant the top in the substrate.
Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
It grows in low light with no CO2, so it fits a simple shrimp tank with a basic light. The stacked round leaves collect biofilm for shrimp to graze, the stems give shrimplets cover, and it takes up nitrate as it grows.
