The Plant
Juncus repens is a grass-like marsh plant from North America, now farmed worldwide. It has thin green leaves that pick up some red under good light. It adapts to a wide range of water, so it suits beginners. You get one bunch.
Plant Care
Type: Grass-like · Origin: North America · Height: Up to 10 in · Light: Moderate · CO2: Not required · Temp: 74–82°F · pH: 6.8–7.8
Planting Tips
Use it in the midground of a tank of 10 gallons or more. It does not need CO2 but grows much better with it. Cut a stem and replant it in the substrate to propagate.
Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The thin leaves grow in a dense tuft that makes shelter for shrimp and small fish.
