The Plant
Anubias nana 'Golden Coin' is a compact anubias with round, light green leaves that can show a golden tint. Leaves grow to about 4 inches and the plant stays around 6 inches tall. It comes from West African stock and is very easy. This one ships potted.

Planting Tips
Take it out of the pot first, then tie or glue the rhizome to rock, driftwood or decor in the midground of a tank of 5 gallons or more. Keep the rhizome out of the substrate, and split it by cutting the rhizome.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Its small size fits nano shrimp tanks, and the bright leaves make dark or red shrimp easy to spot. The round leaves collect biofilm for grazing, the plant is never eaten, and it grows slowly enough that you rarely need to trim it.
