This item is provided by our friends at AquaticMotiv ↗ (opens in a new tab) (Price Matched)
The Plant
Alternanthera reineckii 'Roseafolia', also sold as Pink Temple Scarlet. It is a South American background plant with long red leaves on pink stems. It grows slowly, is rated easy, and holds up well when the water stays stable.
What's Inside
1 pot of Alternanthera reineckii 'Roseafolia'. Care: moderate light, CO2 not required, 74–82°F, pH 6.5–7.6, up to about 8 in. tall, tank of 10 gallons or more.
Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Several planted side by side make a red patch thick enough for shrimplets to hide in. Slow growth means little trimming, so you disturb the tank less. Plant it once and leave it in place, since it dislikes being uprooted. The leaves carry biofilm for shrimp to graze.
