Origin
A line bred in captivity; the wild cardinal comes from the Rio Negro and Orinoco.
Care Basics
About 75 to 82°F and pH 5.5 to 7.0. A 20-gallon or larger with plants and dim spots. Eats small flakes, micro pellets and baby brine shrimp.

Peaceful; keep 8 or more. A good shrimp tank mate: it leaves adult shrimp alone, but may eat some shrimplets.
