Live Arrival Guarantee: if a snail arrives damaged, dead or unhealthy, take 2–3 photos in the unopened sealed bag and email support@mossandmolt.com with your order number within 4 hours of delivery (claims close 48 hours after delivery). You get a replacement, or a refund if it is sold out.
Snails often stay tucked in their shells after shipping. Take the photos, add them to your tank and give them a few hours.

The Snail
Virgin nerites (Vitta virginea) come from South America, Central America and the Caribbean, and they are very rare in the hobby. Each shell has its own detailed pattern. They are peaceful, hardy and live up to 3 years. Most arrive small. You get 3 snails. Some shells may show small flaws.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Nerites are among the best algae eaters you can add. They dig under the gravel for algae and eat algae wafers, invertebrate pellets, zucchini and dead plant matter. They are safe with plants and shrimp. Their eggs only hatch in brackish water, so they won't breed in a freshwater tank. Never use copper.
Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and peaceful community fish. Avoid: assassin snails, which hunt other snails, and fish big enough to eat them.
