Very hardy. Keep pH above 7 and GH up so the shell stays smooth, feed sinking food and keep copper out.

The Snail
This variety pack has mystery snails (Pomacea bridgesii) in mixed shell colors. Pick your pack size when you add to cart. They come from South America, and most are captive-bred. They are hardy, very peaceful and slow, and always looking for something to eat. They can live up to 3 years, and a few shells may show small flaws.

Care
Temp: 72–82°F · pH: 7.4–8.0 · Tank: 10 gallons or larger

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
A few snails make an easy first clean-up crew. They graze algae and eat leftover food and dead leaves that would otherwise foul the water, and they don't bother shrimp or healthy plants. They breed readily, so pull egg clutches above the waterline if you don't want more. Never use copper.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and calm community fish such as small tetras, rasboras, corydoras and otocinclus. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, which eat snails, and fin nippers like tiger barbs that pick at their feelers. Assassin snails may go after small mystery snails.
