Very hardy. Keep pH above 7 and GH up so the shell stays smooth, feed sinking food and keep copper out.

The Snail
This mix brings 10 mystery snails (Pomacea bridgesii) in gold, blue and ivory. The species comes from South America, and most of these are captive-bred. They are slow, very peaceful and busy around the clock. They can live up to 3 years, and a few shells may show small flaws.

Care
Temp: 72–82°F · pH: 7.4–8.0 · Tank: 10 gallons or larger

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They clean up algae, leftover wafers and pellets, dead leaves, and anything that dies in the tank, and they leave healthy plants alone. They breed readily, laying egg clutches above the waterline, so pull the clutches if you don't want more. Keep GH around 6–8 for strong shells, and never use copper.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and calm community fish such as small tetras, rasboras, corydoras and otocinclus. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, which eat snails, and fin nippers like tiger barbs that pick at their feelers. Assassin snails may go after small mystery snails.
