About
Boyd Chemi-Clean treats red, black and blue-green slime algae (cyanobacteria) in fresh and saltwater tanks. It works by oxidizing the organic sludge and debris behind an outbreak. It's safe for fish, invertebrates, corals and plants when used as directed.

Using It
Dose by tank volume and follow the label closely. Give the tank heavy aeration during treatment, turn off skimmers and UV units for 24 to 48 hours, then do a 20% water change. Fixing the cause (flow, light, nutrients) helps keep it from coming back.
