The Plant
A wild-type Buce from Borneo with long green leaves that ruffle along the edges. It stays small, topping out near 2 inches, so it fits the front or middle of a scape. It's easy to keep in tanks of 10 gallons and up.
Plant Care
Type: Rhizome plant · Origin: Borneo, Indonesia · Height: up to 2 in · Light: Low to moderate · CO2: Not required · Temp: 75-82°F · pH: 6.8-7.8
Planting Tips
Wedge or glue the rhizome onto stone or wood instead of burying it. To make more plants, cut the rhizome into pieces and attach each one in a new spot.
Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Its leaves last a long time, so they collect the biofilm baby shrimp pick at all day. A clump on a rock gives shrimplets a hiding spot right where they feed.
