The Plant
Silver Eagle is a Bucephalandra, a slow-growing rhizome plant from Borneo with small, textured leaves. Like other Buce, it stays compact and is easy to keep without CO2.

Planting Tips
Tie or glue it to wood or rock and keep the rhizome out of the substrate. A few leaves may melt after shipping; new growth follows.
Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Buce leaves last a long time, so they build up the biofilm baby shrimp graze on. The plant takes up nitrate and ammonia, and a clump gives shrimplets somewhere to hide.
