Grows in low light with no CO2 and almost nothing eats it. Tie it to wood or rock; a buried rhizome rots.

The Plant
Anubias frazeri is a cross between Anubias barteri and Anubias congensis. It has green, oval leaves with a wavy edge, about 3 inches long, and the plant can reach 14 inches tall. It comes from African stock and is very easy. This listing is bare root.

Plant Care
Type: Rhizome · Origin: Africa · Height: up to 14 in. · Light: Low to moderate · CO2: Not required · Temp: 75–82°F · pH: 6.8–7.8

Planting Tips
Mount the rhizome on rock or decor in the midground of a 10-gallon or larger tank. Keep the rhizome above the substrate, and cut it in two whenever you want another plant.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The wavy leaves catch plenty of biofilm, so shrimp always have something to graze. It is safe with every shrimp, grows slowly enough that trimming is rare, and makes a sheltered spot for shrimplets near the hardscape.
