Grows in low light with no CO2 and almost nothing eats it. Unpot it and tie it to wood or rock; a buried rhizome rots.

The Plant
A striped variety of Anubias barteri. Its green leaves are more pointed and more ruffled than the plain form, run about 6 inches long, and the plant can reach 14 inches. It is very easy and can grow fully underwater or with leaves above the surface.

Plant Care
Type: Rhizome · Origin: Africa · Height: up to 14 in. · Light: Low to moderate · CO2: Not required · Temp: 75–82°F · pH: 6.8–7.8

Planting Tips
Remove the pot and mount the rhizome on rock or decor in the midground of a tank of 10 gallons or more. Keep it out of the substrate. To make another plant, divide the rhizome and attach the new piece to a fresh spot.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
The ruffled leaves add texture and give biofilm more surface to grow on, so shrimp have more to graze. It is never eaten by shrimp, needs very little trimming, and its leaves give small shrimp cover.
