Mini Orange Rabbit Snails

The Snail
Mini orange rabbit snails (Tylomelania sp.) come from freshwater lakes in Indonesia. They are a small rabbit snail with a pointed black shell that grows to about 2 inches. Most arrive at 0.75 to 2 inches. They are peaceful, active day and night, and live up to 3 years. You get 4 snails. They are wild-caught, so some shells may show wear.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They eat algae, invertebrate pellets, flake food, zucchini and dead plant matter, so less leftover food sits in the tank. They are safe with plants and shrimp and won't overpopulate. They want warm, hard water. Never use copper.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and peaceful fish that like the same warm, hard water. Avoid: assassin snails, which hunt other snails, and fish big enough to eat them.
