Mini Gold Spotted Rabbit Snails

The Snail
These mini rabbit snails are a small Tylomelania from freshwater lakes in Indonesia. They grow to about an inch with a pointed shell, and shell color can vary a little from the photos. They are wild-caught, so some shells show wear. Each pack has 4 snails, and they can live up to 3 years.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They work day and night on algae, leftover pellets and flakes, and dead leaves, and they leave plants and shrimp alone. They need hard water (GH 6–8), which also suits Neocaridina, and they won't overrun the tank. Never use copper in a tank with snails.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp and other snails that like the same warm, hard water, plus peaceful community fish. They suit a Neocaridina tank kept on the warm side. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, and tanks kept cool.
