Peaceful grazer that likes hard water and some sand to dig in. Needs biofilm or sinking food; breeds slowly.

The Snail
Tiger chopstick snails (Stenomelania acutospira) are an uncommon, hard-to-find species from freshwater lakes in Indonesia. They have long, smooth, pointed dark brown spiral shells that can reach 2.5 inches. They are peaceful, active day and night, and like to bury into the substrate. They live up to 3 years. You get 3 snails. Some shells may show small flaws.

Care
Temp: 77–84°F · pH: 7.5–8.5 · GH: 6–8 · KH: 4–8 · Tank: 20 gallons or more

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They search the tank for food all day and night, eating algae, invertebrate pellets, flake food, zucchini and dead plant matter. They are safe with plants and shrimp, and they won't overpopulate a planted tank. They want warm, hard water. Never use copper.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and peaceful fish that like the same warm, hard water. Avoid: assassin snails, which hunt other snails, and fish big enough to eat them.
