Lightning Bolt Nerite Snails

The Snail
Lightning Bolt Nerites come from India and are one of the harder nerites to find. They are very hardy, handle a wide range of water and stay busy around the clock. They are top-tier algae grazers that leave plants alone, and they will even dig into gravel to find food. Three snails per order. As wild-collected snails, some may have small shell flaws.

Care
Temp: 72-82°F · pH: 6.8-8.4 · GH: 6-8 · KH: 2-12 · Tank: 10 gal+ · Lifespan: Up to 4 years

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They clean glass, rock and leaves without bothering shrimp. They lay small white eggs, but those only hatch in brackish water, so the tank never fills with snails. Keep copper out of the tank.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp of any size, other snails and peaceful nano or community fish. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, which eat snails. Assassin snails sometimes go after small nerites.
