Very hardy. Keep pH above 7 and GH up so the shell stays smooth, feed sinking food and keep copper out.

The Snail
Gold mystery snails (Pomacea bridgesii) have a bright yellow, round shell and a beige body. The species comes from South America, and these are mostly captive bred. Most are around 3/4 inch, with some over an inch and already laying eggs. A few may show old shell marks. They live up to about 3 years; never use copper-based treatments around them.

Care
Temp: 72 to 82°F · pH: 7.4 to 8.0 · GH: 6 to 8 · KH: 2 to 12 · Size: About 3/4 to 1+ in · Tank: 10 gallons or more

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They clean up algae, leftover food and soft decaying plant matter around the clock, and they are peaceful with shrimp and healthy plants. Their preferred water overlaps well with Neocaridina, and the gold shell stands out against dark substrate.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and calm community fish such as small tetras, rasboras, corydoras and otocinclus. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, which eat snails, and fin nippers like tiger barbs that pick at their feelers. Assassin snails may go after small mystery snails.
