Choose a Pack:3 Snails
Very hardy. Keep pH above 7 and GH up so the shell stays smooth, feed sinking food and keep copper out.

The Snail
Black mystery snails (Pomacea bridgesii) have a round black shell and a dark body. They are a South American apple snail, mostly captive-bred, and they arrive at about 3/4 in. to just over 1 in. Some of the bigger ones may already be laying eggs. You get 3 snails.

Care
Temp: 72–82°F · pH: 7.4–8.0 · GH: 6–8 · Size: about 3/4–1 in. on arrival · Tank: 10 gallons or more

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
They are peaceful, busy cleaners that eat algae, extra food and dead leaves while leaving healthy plants alone. They breed easily, laying clutches above the waterline, so remove any you don't want. Feed algae wafers or zucchini, and avoid copper.

Tank Mates
Good with: shrimp, other snails and calm community fish such as small tetras, rasboras, corydoras and otocinclus. Avoid: loaches, puffers, crayfish, crabs and large cichlids, which eat snails, and fin nippers like tiger barbs that pick at their feelers. Assassin snails may go after small mystery snails.
