Use a tank of 10 gallons or more.

Why Shrimp Keepers Like It
Floating plants take ammonia and nitrate straight from the water, which keeps conditions steadier for shrimp. The hanging roots grow biofilm, and shrimp often climb them to graze. The shade also helps shy shrimp come out more.

Photos © AquaticMotiv, used with credit.

Information sourced from AquaticMotiv

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0856/5302/9085/files/amazon-frogbit-limnobium-laevigatum-aquatic-plants-225_3359939b-a5be-4fba-83d1-5bd6f5c437f0.webp?v=1793735755
